Have You Made the Most of Your Dental Benefits?

Did you know that with the new year your dental insurance benefits and FSA dollars may expire?

Do not lose out on your annual dental health benefits for 2017. If you have only visited once for a routine cleaning, you are most likely eligible for a second visit this year. Before the year closes out, schedule a preventive dental care visit with Dr. Lynn or Dr. Dickert. Routine preventive care visits are the foundation of a lasting, healthy smile.

If you have an FSA or HSA account that is used to pay for your family’s dental care, your existing balance may expire come December 31, 2017.  Many FSA or HSA programs do not allow the saved dollars to roll over into the following year and patients must use them before their expiration date. To optimize your valuable health care dollars, call us to schedule an oral health exam or recommended dental treatment before the end of December.

Understanding your Dental Insurance Benefits

If you are unsure about your dental insurance plan or do not know how much money you have left in your HSA or FSA account, contact your insurance company as soon as possible. Your insurance agent or health care plan administrator should be able to help you determine when your dollars expire, and how much remains in your account to date.

We file most dental insurance claims on your behalf as an out of network provider. Our knowledgeable and friendly staff will be happy to help you make the most of your dental insurance benefits.
